Solid Ash Square Side Table with a sleek handmade 20mm steel frame box section base. This minimalist side table is made from high grade solid ash lengths which are professionally jointed together to create the characterful slab top. Ash is a great alternative to oak if you are looking for a lighter colour of hardwood. These high quality solid wood tables undergo many hours of strategic processes to arrive at a final finish that is elegant and of high quality.

The side tables in the photographs are a cube shape which are 45cm x 45cm x 45cm. These tables table is available in a range of sizes to suit your living space. The Ash is carefully sanded to show off the beautiful grain and is then finished in a highly resistant clear hard wax oil to future proof it from spillages and general use in the home.

All of the options are totally customisable. There are a range of lengths x widths available from the dropdown tab. However, if there is a certain size and colour combination you are looking for please contact us as we will be happy to try our best to accommodate.

The particular side tables in the photos are 45cm square. These were the first of their kind for RO Designs as the customer had seen a large ash coffee table along with two side tables in a high end furniture shop retailing at a price that was unaffordable. This lady approached RO Designs for this bespoke design and her new living room furniture was achieved at a lower cost to which she commented that the quality of this was much better than what she had originally had her heart set on! The ash coffee table was initially ordered, then two square side tables and a wood kindling stand (all available on other product listings.

Table materials

This table is made up of individual Ash lengths which are professionally jointed and sealed with a highly resistant hard wax oil, a very robust design which is built to last. The solid ash top is secured to the steel frame below with lots of fixing points which will be attached in the workshop so no assembly is required. The amount of ash pieces will vary depending on the size of the side table. Only the best quality Ash is used on this table top, however the wood may contain knots or cracks as it is a natural product – these will be filled and sealed during the finishing process.

Table Base Colour:

The side tables will be supplied in matt Black as standard inclusive of the price. If you would like to have these painted in White, Grey, Dark Grey or Gold there will be a small additional charge for this due to the size of the tables please contact us before placing an order if you require an alternate colour.

Frame colour: Black as standard. Clear coated steel, White, Gold, light grey and dark grey also available upon request.

We use a variation of couriers to deliver our furniture. The type and size of the product you have ordered will determine the courier selected. Please ensure you provide your mobile number and email address for courier notifications. If these details are not provided upon order this may cause a delay. In the event of damage to your parcel, please report this with photographic evidence within 72hrs of delivery, if this is not reported within 72hrs we cannot claim for damaged goods.

Custom Made
The product you are purchasing is custom made to your exact requirements, we customise to your specifications specific colour of your choice. We do not keep a stock of the product this is handmade for each individual customer. Because of this reason the product is none returnable. If there is a genuine fault with your furniture we will replace the item you have purchased. Refunds or replacements of the item you have purchased cannot be issued if you have measured incorrectly, selected the incorrect colour or you simply have changed your mind.

Timber
Product quality is paramount and as such, we only source the highest quality kiln dried timber to make the furniture. The timber used is FSC certified Scandinavian pine from sustainably managed forests.

Wood Uniqueness
Some of the wood we use for the furniture is recycled and reclaimed wood. This gives all of the products individuality and uniqueness as no two pieces of wood will ever be the same. This adds beautiful character to your furniture.

We pride ourselves in the ability to restore wood, bringing it back to life and drawing out the beauty and intricacy of the detail and grain. All finished items go through a rigorous sanding process.

The item you purchase could have marks, cracks, gaps, knots, shakes & indentations. The wood is not intended to be perfectly flat or smooth as the texture is part of the character. We do make every effort to remove splinters and sharp edges however, cannot guarantee that there won’t be any present as wood is a natural product. Please be aware that over time wood changes shape and texture and it is possible that splinters/cracks could form. Please note all of the above still applies even when painted & oiled; cracks, gaps, holes, knots, shakes, saw marks (This is not a fault)

Cleaning/Care
It is advised to only clean the wood with a clean microfibre cloth rather than using any harsh or abrasive cleaning products as this will cause damage to the wood.

Oils, Paints & Wax
If you choose one of the painted options this will be painted by hand and finished with a premium furniture wax. None of the products are factory sprayed, all of the products have a rustic feel. Some of the paints, oil’s & wax we select for the furniture is human, animal, plant, toy & food safe. Please check with me for further details.
