Understanding what you are purchasing?

You are purchasing a solid wood breakfast bar with four hairpin legs.

Finished heights with legs
The legs are secured to the pine frame that is secured to the underside of these breakfast bars. Therefore the overall thickness on top of the leg height to consider is approx 7cm.
86cm legs – Finished height =93cm
102cm legs – Finished height =109cm

Stool widths/choosing a length
When selecting the length of your breakfast bar please note that the hairpin legs are inset due to the borders and the tapered hairpin legs are roughly 8cm wide at the point where a standard size breakfast bar seat would finish. For example a breakfast bar at 100cm long will have a clear span gap between the inside of the hairpin legs of approx 81cm (based on standard height/width seats).

The easiest method of working out the length would be:
Border/Hairpin leg thickness (9.5cm approx) + Seat width + Seat Width + Border/Hairpin leg thickness (9.5cm) = Required breakfast bar length.

Please check your stool widths before placing an order to ensure they will fit under the breakfast bar before placing an order. Stool in photos is not included in this purchase.

Table materials (Diagonal oak breakfast bar)
This breakfast bar is made up of individual solid oak lengths secured to an MDF and Redwood pine frame, a very robust design which is built to last. The individual oak lengths are glued and nailed in place. A solid oak border is secured to the breakfast bar to give it the chunky oak look. I fill between the individual Oak lats with a quality wood filler, over time as the wood shrinks and expands with heat/the weather the filler may develop small cracks but this does that affect the integrity of the table. There may be holes in the oak where the individual pieces of solid oak have been nailed, these nails are then knocked in and the holes filled with an Oak coloured filler to finish them off neatly.

Assembly:
To assemble hairpin legs a screwdriver will be required to attach the legs to the table. (X4 screws for each Leg) Holes are pre-drilled in each corner of the underside of the breakfast bar and also pre drilled to allow you to assemble your breakfast bar close to a wall. If you have a specific requirement for the leg position because of old skirting/other room dependent specifications, please contact me before placing your order as I’m sure it will be something I can help with! Your breakfast bar legs will be detached for shipping and supplied in flat pack form to prevent any damage to the table top in transit. These breakfast bars are designed to be freestanding therefore fixings are not provided for securing to a wall.

RAW STEEL
100% natural and bare. It will rust, even indoors, but it’s perfect if you want to finish the legs yourself. Or if you want an industrial, weathered look.

CLEAR POWDER COAT
Creates an industrial, raw steel look, without rusting. Clear coat adds a slight sheen to the metal and seals the steel for a long rust free life.

COLOUR POWDER COAT
Available in black, white and a range of vibrant colours. Powder coat protects your legs from rust, while adding a pop to your project.

ZINC
The steel is electro-treated with zinc for an extremely robust, rust-proof finish. It pairs perfectly with stainless steel, and is even suitable for outdoor use.

I use a variation of couriers to deliver our furniture, I will choose the best courier for the specific product you have ordered. Please ensure you provide your mobile number and email address for courier notifications. If these details are not provided upon order this may cause a delay. In the event of damage to your parcel, please report this with photographic evidence within 72hrs of delivery, if this is not reported within 72hrs we cannot claim for damaged goods.

Custom Made
The product you are purchasing is custom made to your exact requirements, I customise to the nearest millimetre and paint to a specific colour. I do not keep a stock of the product this is handmade for each individual customer. Because of this reason the product is none returnable. If there is a genuine fault with your furniture I will replace the item you have purchased. I will not refund or replace the item you have purchased if you have measured incorrectly, selected the incorrect colour or you simply have changed your mind.

Wood
Product quality is paramount and as such, I only source the highest quality kiln dried timber to make the furniture. I use a variation of woods depending on the finish you choose. The wood used is FSC certified Scandinavian pine from sustainably managed forests. Wood thickness is 4.4cm however the finished thickness after the planing/sanding process is around 4cm.

Wood Uniqueness
Some of the wood I use for the furniture is recycled and reclaimed wood. This gives all of the products individuality and uniqueness as no two pieces of wood will ever be the same. This adds beautiful character to your furniture.

I pride myself in the ability to restore wood, bringing it back to life and drawing out the beauty and intricacy of the detail and grain. All finished items go through a rigorous sanding process.

The item you purchase could have marks, cracks, gaps, knots, shakes & indentations. The wood is not intended to be perfectly flat or smooth as the texture is part of the character. I do make every effort to remove splinters and sharp edges however, cannot guarantee that there won’t be any present as wood is a natural product. Please be aware that over time wood changes shape and texture and it is possible that splinters/cracks could form. Please note all of the above still applies even when painted & oiled; cracks, gaps, holes, knots, shakes, saw marks (This is not a fault)\

Radiators/Heat
These breakfast bars look great over radiators but please note the heat can affect the wood as this is a natural product. If you are purchasing and you are installing above a radiator we recommend a gap of 10cm to allow the heat to flow through. I would advise waiting 2-3 weeks before placing the breakfast bar above a radiator, this will allow the wood to acclimatize to its new environment in your home.

Cleaning/Care
I advise only cleaning the wood with a clean microfibre cloth rather than using any harsh or abrasive cleaning products as this will cause damage to the wood.

Oils, Paints & Wax
If you choose one of the painted options this will be painted by hand and finished with a premium furniture wax. None of the products are factory sprayed, all of the products have a rustic feel. Some of the paints, oil’s & wax we select for the furniture is human, animal, plant, toy & food safe. Please check with me for further details.
