Solid Ash Coffee Table with sleek handmade 20mm steel frame box section base. This minimalist coffee table is made from high grade solid ash lengths which are professionally jointed together to create the characterful slab top. Ash is a great alternative to oak if you are looking for a lighter colour of hardwood. These high quality solid wood tables undergo many hours of strategic processes to arrive at a final finish that is elegant and of high quality.

The coffee table in the photograph is a very large rectangular coffee table which is 160cm Long, 85cm Wide and 45cm tall. This table is available in a range of sizes to suit your living space. The Ash is carefully sanded to show off the beautiful grain and is then finished in a highly resistant clear hard wax oil to future proof it from spillages and general use in the home.

The particular coffee table in the photos (160cm x 85cm) was the first of its kind for RO Designs and the customer had seen this (along with two matching side tables) in a high end furniture shop retailing at a price that was unaffordable. This lady approached RO Designs for this bespoke design and her new living room furniture was achieved at a lower cost to which she commented that the quality of this was much better than what she had originally had her heart set on! This coffee table was ordered alongside two square side tables and a wood kindling stand

Table materials

This table is made up of individual Ash lengths which are professionally jointed and sealed with a highly resistant hard wax oil, a very robust design which is built to last. The solid ash top is secured to the steel frame below with lots of fixing points which will be attached in the workshop so no assembly is required. The amount of ash pieces will vary depending on the size of the coffee table. Only the best quality Ash is used on this table top, however the wood may contain knots or cracks as it is a natural product – these will be filled and sealed during the finishing process.

Table Base Colour:

-The coffee table will be supplied in matt Black as standard inclusive of the price. If you would like to have these painted in White, Grey, Dark Grey or Gold there will be an additional charge for this. Please leave a note in the personalisation box at checkout of the colour you require.

Due to the weight of these coffee tables they cannot be sent via the standard courier therefore they are hand delivered (Tables over 80cm). I will therefore hand deliver (2 man service), place the table in your home if you wish and remove and take away all packaging! Please CONTACT me before purchasing to double check you live within the catchment area for delivery!

I use a variation of couriers to deliver my products , I will choose the best courier for the specific product you have ordered. For these coffee tables that are over 80cm, due to the weight I will hand deliver to ensure safe delivery of your handmade item. Please ensure you provide me with your mobile number and email address for courier notifications. If these details are not provided upon order this may cause a delay. In the event of damage to your parcel, please report this to myself photographic evidence within 72hrs of delivery, if this is not reported within 72hrs we cannot claim for damaged goods.

Custom Made
The product you are purchasing is custom made to your exact requirements, I customise to the nearest millimetre and finish to a specific colour of your choice. I do not keep a stock of the product this is handmade for each individual customer. Because of this reason the product is none returnable. If there is a genuine fault with your furniture I will replace the item you have purchased. Refunds or replacements of the item you have purchased cannot be issued if you have measured incorrectly, selected the incorrect colour or you simply have changed your mind.

Wood
Product quality is paramount and as such, I only source the highest quality kiln dried timber to make the furniture. I use a variation of woods depending on the finish you choose. The woods include reclaimed Whitewood/Pine scaffold boards and FSC certified Scandinavian pine from sustainably managed forests. As well as Oak.

Wood Uniqueness
Some of the wood I use for the furniture is recycled and reclaimed wood. This gives all my products individuality and uniqueness as no two pieces of wood will ever be the same. This adds beautiful character to our furniture.

I pride myself in the ability to restore wood, bringing it back to life and drawing out the beauty and intricacy of the detail and grain. All finished items go through a rigorous sanding process.

The item you purchase could have marks, cracks, gaps, knots, shakes & indentations. The wood is not intended to be perfectly flat or smooth as the texture is part of the character. Every effort is made to remove splinters and sharp edges however, I cannot guarantee that there won’t be any present as wood is a natural product. Please be aware that over time wood changes shape and texture and it is possible that splinters/cracks could form.

Radiators/Heat
Heat can affect the wood as this is a natural product.

Cleaning & Care –
I advise only cleaning the wood with a clean microfibre cloth rather than using any harsh or abrasive cleaning products as this will cause damage to the wood. Please do not sue furniture polish on your handmade item.

Oils, Paints & Wax
If you choose one of our painted options this will be painted by hand and finished with a premium furniture wax. Our products are not factory sprayed, all of our products have a rustic feel. Some of the paints, oil’s & wax we select for our furniture is human, animal, plant, toy & food safe. Please check with me for further details.

Lead Time
Before you place your order please check the lead times. Whilst every effort is made to complete your order on time, as my pieces are handmade, sometimes delays can unfortunately happen. I will notify you immediately if this is the case.
